Spring In Ibiza

Its February and the Almond Blossoms are out all over the island and spring is in the air.

We took the oportunity to take a tour round the island to visit our new properties. The sun was shining and a fresh sea breeze was blowing in from the south. We took some pictures of the Almond blossom which has come out all over the island. Did you know that the Almond crops were one of the only sources of income for Ibicenco's before tourism arrived in the 60's The Almonds fall off the trees, dry out in the soil and were harvested in August when the green outer casing of the almonds ripens up. Nobody harvest the almonds any more but we still get to enjoy the stunning natural beauty of this beautiful act of nature.
