Cala Jondal’s Finest Dining

Cala-jondal_780103cCala Jondal is quickly gaining the reputation as being one of the most exclusive beaches on the island of Ibiza. And it’s easy to see why.

The white pebbles of the cove contrast brilliantly with the turquoise of the water, whilst the green pine forest make the perfect backdrop to the stunning resort. A number of luxurious Cala Jondal villas have been expertly designed so that they are cleverly hidden by mature gardens, yet have excellent views of the bay below.

The beach, just a short drive by car from Ibiza Town on the south side of the island, is also popular with the fleets of luxury super yacht charters which come to anchor in the secluded bay.

Not surprisingly, a number of first-class restaurants have sprung up on the shore in recent years, which are all within a gentle stroll of our villas in Cala Jondal Ibiza.

Here you can enjoy beautifully-cooked seafood and a tantalizing array of cocktails at tables situated at the water’s edge. Try a massage on one of the restaurant’s sun-loungers after lunch before heading back to your villa in Cala Jondal Ibiza.

Another popular restaurant with locals as well as the jet set is the Blue Marlin, which some regulars claim is the most exclusive on the island. The venue has live music every afternoon, with the restaurant staying open until 7pm for lunch, and 00.30am for diner. Like many of its competitors, The Blue Marlin offers a boat delivery service so that guests on board yachts moored in the bay can eat the delicious food on deck.

cala_jondal_villasA third restaurant within walking distance from all of our Cala Jondal villas is Yemanja, which means Goddess of the Sea and protector of fishermen. This restaurant opened on Cala Jondal more than 30 years ago, and enjoys a first-class reputation for seafood. As soon as you sit down at one of the wooden tables in this highly-acclaimed restaurant you will be presented with a plate of delicious anchovies, and so the experience goes on.

The restaurant, just a stone’s throw from your luxury villa in Cala Jondal Ibiza, is also famous for its paella, the Spanish national dish. Like many other restaurants on the island, Yemanja boasts its own resident DJ who plays soothing and soulful tunes to accompany your gastronomic experience.
